People are familiar with Moses parting the Red Sea, but didn't mention Joshua cutting off the Jordan River as often. Maybe it's because the latter was much less in magnitude? Actually, God was quite sincere about the people of Israel crossing the Jordan River. They needed to consecrate themselves. Then followed certain guidance for the crossing. Why was that? What should that affect the believers of Christ nowadays?
